AWARDS

Each year, the committee of International Society of Neuroscience recognizes the outstanding contributions of members in the field of neuroscience.

Outstanding Neuroscientist Award

The Outstanding Neuroscientist Awards are presented to scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the field through research and other scientific achievements.

 

Nominations are currently open. 

 

Award Criteria:

✓  have made significant contributions to the field of neuroscience

✓  have conducted research in the field of the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nervous system

 

Nomination Process

Both self-nominations and nominations from second parties are acceptable.

The following documents are required to be considered for the aforementioned awards:

  • A cover letter from the nominee OR a letter of recommendation from second parties (not exceeding two pages) providing the reasons for nomination and commenting on the nominee's contributions to the field of neuroscience
  • A short curriculum vitae (not exceeding two pages) of the nominee
  • A short list of the representative publications (in 300 words or less); URL of website (if available)
  • All nominations should be summitted to office@isnconnect.org by 15 February, 2019.

 

Review Process:

Nominations will be evaluated with the final selection made by the ISON Council. Award winners will be announced at the ISON Annual Meeting.

Outstanding Young Neuroscientist Award

The Outstanding Young Neuroscientist Awards recognize students, postdoctorals and early-career scientists who have made significant accomplishments in the field of neuroscience.

 

Nominations are currently open. 

 

Award Criteria:

✓  postdoctoral students of neuroscience or junior scientists who have received an advanced degree within the past 10 years

✓  have made significant contributions to the field of neuroscience

 

Nomination Process

Both self-nominations and nominations from second parties are acceptable.

The following documents are required to be considered for the aforementioned awards:

  • A cover letter from the nominee OR a letter of recommendation from second parties (not exceeding two pages) providing the reasons for nomination and commenting on the nominee's contributions to the field of neuroscience
